Take a 'dip' on the wild side
Wild Swimming

What is Wild Swimming

Essentially, wild swimming is swimming in any natural bodies of water - whether it be a lake, pond, river, or the ocean.

It is swimming off the beaten track, in pools, rivers, lakes, and the sea or anywhere you can submerge yourself in natural water. This is the fun, unregulated side of swimming.

It is meditative, it reduces inflammation and reduces stress hormones, and increases happy hormones and most importantly it helps you connect with nature.

And yes, in most cases it is COLD!

What you need to go Wild Swimming:
- You must be a competent swimmer and confident in the water. No swimming lessons or instruction is given on-site.
- A wetsuit (shortie or full length), swimming gloves, and swimming booties or beach shoes are recommended.
- Towel or Dryrobe.
- Suitable swim goggles are advised if you want to swim the length of the lake.
- We recommend that swimmers wear a bright-colored swim hat so they can be seen easily in the water.
- We recommend that non-wetsuit swimmers use a swim tow float when swimming.
- Please enter and exit the water at the specified area - at the steps.
- Annual disclaimer must be signed with membership.
